In 2013, the American pastor was awakened in the middle of the night with the strong motivation for the then newly-elected Pope Francis. He then discovered that one of his friends, Giovanni Traettino, a Protestant minister from Italy, had become good friends with Pope Francis while he was still Archbishop of Buenos Aires – which resulted in a greeting by the Pope featured in two nights of prayer and fellowship between Protestant pastors and Catholic bishops. Joe Tosini then created the movement „John 17 – All be one”, based on Jesus’ prayer in John 17; this ecumenical movement is more relational than theological and focuses on, as Pope Francis said, discovering in those from other Christian denominations “brothers and sisters … as children of the same Father” – we’re excited to hear more about his ministry and experience in Christian unity!
