After seven years of serving as an officer in the army, Olivier de Germay entered the seminary in 1991 and then became a priest of the diocese of Toulouse. Appointed Bishop of Ajaccio in 2012, he lived in Corsica for eight years before being appointed Archbishop of Lyon. His motto? „Christ loved the Church” (Eph 5:25)
