Monsignor Luc Ravel, the Archbishop of Strasbourg since 2017, pronounced his solemn profession in 1985 among the canons of Saint Victor’s. He then practised in Switzerland and Charentes, and he created the movement Notre Dame de l’Espérance, a group aiming to help single people consider their celibacy as the bearer of wealth. In 2009 he was appointed bishop of the army.
